Meet our Pastors
Pastor Jose & Janette Ortiz

Jose and Janette Ortiz met at their place of employment in Rochester, NY, back in 1994. After dating for a few months, Janette made a drastic decision to relocate with Jose to Ft. Lauderdale, FL, for a fresh start in life. Several years of pain and suffering followed, perhaps because they were a young couple, ignorant of the reality of life, with no family near and no fear of God.

Finally, in 1999 Jose and Janette encounter God's love. Although they were miles apart at this point in their life, God's love allowed them to experience forgiveness for their sins as they accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Their conversion to Christ gave them the passion and desire to forgive each other, reconcile, get married, and carry on with their happily ever after.

Jose and Janette Ortiz were married on Saturday, February 5, 2000, at a small and cozy pentecostal church in Pompano Beach, FL. This wedding proved that everything works together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose.

After twenty-plus years in sunny Florida, GOD touched their hearts to return to where they first met, Rochester, NY. Initially not a good idea due to logistics and all they had gained, but the turning point was their faith and appreciation; they understood to give their bodies to God because of all he had done for them. This is truly the way to worship him. Jose and Janette learned not to copy the behavior and customs of this world but instead to let God transform them into new people by changing the way they think. This helped them learn and know God's will for them, which is good, pleasing, and perfect. In September 2013, Jose and Janette relocated with their two young boys and hearts filled with purpose.

Back in Rochester, a new chapter began with the understanding of Galatians 2:20, "My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me."

The call of God over their life is real, the seal of the Holy Spirit filled, and the maturity both obtained is perhaps why many people can relate and appreciate God's love. Their relationship with God is neither religion nor something they do on Sundays. Instead, it's a lifestyle filled with faith, purpose, and a commitment to share the love of God along with the following message... If he did it for us, he could do it for you. Blessing!
